Don't forget! The projects are due December 8th...or you will be taking the test after school on that day. I know that these books are proving to be quite challenging for you, and I am sorry for the extraordinarily long delay, but dig in deep, and try to do the best you can.
In case you have misplaced it, here is the handout that explains the projects: http://www.mediafire.com/?dsdy6h2ygctdufd
Here are the study guides if you so desire to use them; they are long, but they offer quality questions that overview the novels in their entirety. Different parts of the study guides were put together from a variety of sources, and I am being a bad English teacher and not citing everything. Deal with it. Scarlet Letter
Little Women
Uncle Tom's Cabin
The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass
Walden
As a sidenote, http://www.vcu.edu/engweb/transcendentalism/authors/thoreau/walden/ is very informative and helpful with reading Walden in full but with pop-up notes to help with understanding.

Why Am I Doing This?
I can't compete with Twitter or Tumblr or Facebook. Who makes an English teacher's blog a regular stop on an internet-searching ritual? I doubt you will be able to access this at school, but goodness, is my blog URL not amazingly creative? Anyway, here is what I offer.
1. I will hopefully figure out how to upload documents...which is what inspired this in the first place.
2. I might just write stuff here that serves as a reminder to you about what you need to know for class.
3. If you are very lucky, you might get extra special posts about life and whatnot...what I fail to do at my other blog.
4. Maybe none of this will happen, and maybe none of you will visit anyway.
